“I have learned more from the Rahmah Foundation
than anywhere else in my study of Islam.”

Women’s and Girls’ Qur’an Program
This our newest endeavor and we are incredibly excited about it! The Rahmah Foundation is currently hosting a Hifdh (Qur’an memorization) program for girls and women at the hands of all women teachers. The goal of this program is three-fold: 1) Full-fledged Hifdh (memorization) program 2) At-your-pace Qur’an memorization classes 3) Tajweed (rules of proper recitation) classes. The locations of the program are in the Bay Area, California.
Busy Bees Pre-Hifdh Program
This is a pre-requisite for The Rahmah Foundation Girls Hifdh Program for girls 6-9 years of age. The goal of the Busy Bees Program is to instill love and proper adab of the Quran, perfect the pronunciation of letters in accordance to the rules of Tajweed, teach the ability to easily memorize ½ page of Quran a day and read Quran fluently (which is a requirement for the Rahmah Hifdh Program). The skill-building portion of the program will graduate girls who are knowledgeable of several different skills, including life skills, creativity skills, and most importantly Islamic etiquette (adab).
Rosebuds Halaqa
The Rosebuds Halaqa is a halaqa for Muslim tween girls, ages 10-13. The idea behind the halaqa is to create an Islamic environment for our budding Muslim tweens where they can form a sense of belonging, create positive relationships, strengthen their self-esteem, learn important life skills, have clean fun and most importantly, create a healthy support group made up of their own peers that they can fall back on as they navigate through life.
Online Courses
These are courses that are offered on a semester basis in some of the core Islamic Sciences such as Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, ‘Aqida, Seerah, Hadith, and the many branches of Ihsan on a rotating basis. These classes are for women who are looking for consistency in their study of Islam, prefer the comfort of studying in their own home and would also like to study at the hands of a female teacher.
Live Conferences, Classes and Seminars
The teachers of The Rahmah Foundation are often asked to travel to various communities to teach live classes or intensives. Starting with the Sisters Deen Intensives in 2005, we have had dozens of live programs and have plans to continue this tradition, insha Allah. If you are interested in hosting a conference, class, intensive or seminar in your area please click here.
Special Workshops
The aim of these workshops is to present female-specific topics both live and online. The Rahmah Foundation teachers are currently working on three exciting workshops: Islamic birthing, Islamic child raising and a marriage prep course.
Murabbiyah Mentoring Program
This is a very unique program that prepares ladies who are currently leading (or have plans to lead) a halaqa for tween and teen Muslim girls. It pairs them with a mentor who can advise them on what to teach the girls in their halaqa and connects them with other Murbbiyat (halaqa leaders) like themselves around the country to share ideas, lesson plans, activities, etc. This program was designed for leaders of the Rosebuds Halaqas (ages 10-13) but is open to leaders of other tween and teen halaqas as well. In the near future, we will also be mentoring leaders of Busy Bees Halaqas (ages 6-9).
Monthly Qur’an Khatim
We are so excited to have initiated this great project during Ramadan 2010. We hope that this project will encourage our dear sisters to continue reading Qur’an even after Ramadan ends. Our goal is for each of you to sign up for at least one Juz (chapter) of Qur’an each month. We will then conduct a group du’aa at the end of the month (Qur’an Khatim du’aa). All sisters will have the opportunity to submit specific du’aas for themselves and their loved ones as well. Our goal: for all Rahmah sisters to keep up the good habit of reading Qur’an every month if not every day!
Q&A Service
This is a wonderful service provided by the all-female Rahmah Foundation teachers to answer your Islamic questions. This is especially true of female-specific questions, especially fiqh matters, which women find much easier to ask women teachers. We are hopeful to expand this service and publish a Q&A database of female-specific questions on our website. However, this requires a dedicated Q&A team to make this incredibly important project become a reality. If you have benefited from our answers previously (or plan to in the future) we hope you will support us to get this project off the ground!
